Usually these infections will be treated with systemic antibiotics , medicated shampoos, or topical anti-microbial products . Besides intense itching , skin infections frequently lead to small red bumps on the skin. Other cases may require a blood test, skin allergy test, and/or hypoallergenic food trial .
