Pet health 101: What causes skin dise… - Examiner.com- hypoallergenic dogs

Therefore, many different types of skin disease may resemble one another and diagnostic testing, sometimes extensive, may be necessary to determine the cause of an individual case of skin disease. Skin cytology (an examination of the cells collected from the surface of the skin) help detect bacteria and yeast organisms in the skin as well as various other types of cells. For instance, flea allergy dermatitis (an allergy to fleas which affects the skin) needs to be treated with adequate flea control in addition to controlling any secondary bacterial or yeast infections present on the skin. As with other causes of skin disease, adequate treatment of the endocrine disease will be necessary in order to correct the resulting skin disease.

Judge rules to allow service dog for Columbia, Ill., boy with autism (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)- About: hypoallergenic dogs

WATERLOO — An Illinois school district will have to at least temporarily allow a service dog into one of its special education classrooms, but not in time for his partner’s first day of school. Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Dennis Doyle granted a preliminary injunction against the Columbia Community School District, which told the parents of a 5-year-old autistic boy in June that he would not be allowed to bring his new service dog to school. The judge set another hearing for Monday for both sides to discuss ways the district can safely accommodate the dog, a bouvier named Corbin, as well as other children in Carter Kalbfleisch’s pre-kindergarten special education class. Carter, who got the dog last month, is scheduled to begin school Monday, but Doyle said it would be unfair for the district to take on the dog by Monday without further discussion between both parties. The judge also rejected the district’s claims the dog was not a service dog and that it was an unfair burden to the rest of the students.

hypoallergenic dogs - Dial WASH for Pet Care - Moncton ThisWeek

Kevin and Wanda Case, along with their shop dog Jazz, show the new do-it-yourself pet washing station at Wag and Wash, located in the Pine Glen Plaza in Riverview. What he expanded into was Wag & Wash at 121 Pine Glen Road in Riverview, phone number 388 9274, or 388 WASH. But food and pet products are only half of what Wag & Wash is all about. The shampoo at Wag & Wash is formulated for pets and, unlike human shampoo, doesn't strip essential oils from their skin and fur. You don't need to book ahead to wash and groom your pet yourself, but if you're having your pet groomed professionally, then make an appointment a week or so ahead of time. On September 12, Multi Menu and Wag & Wash are sponsoring a Pet Expo at the Beaver Curling Club.
