Topic: hypoallergenic dogs - Dog mix appeals to allergy sufferers - KC Community News

Tracy Westerfield and her family are breeders of goldendoodles, a crossbreed of a golden retriever and poodle. Being dog lovers, the family researched what type of dogs shed less dander and hair so the family could continue to have furry companions around the house. Sonnenburg said she hated how much her Lab had shed and researched breeds that didn’t shed as much. Sonnenburg said she chose to buy her dog from Westerfield because of Westerfield’s quality breeding practices and said that she and her husband couldn’t be happier with their new family member. Add in dog food for eight stomachs, toys, kennels, shampoo and everything else that comes with pet ownership and it’s easy to see that Westerfield’s motivation comes from the love of the breed. read more
